Having trouble with pop up sign in pages

It's primarily shown up in reddit, but a few other places as well. when a site has a pop up sign in page it will show the initial sign in, but will immediately go to a blank version of the pop up and stay there after I hit submit and not complete the sign in. Does anyone know of a fix for this? I'd rather not have to reinstall everything and lose all of my bookmarks, passwords and data. (I'm more than willing to reinstall if they can be saved for a quick reinstall)
