[Duplicated] Can't access synced data after a password reset

I recently reinstalled windows because I was having some problems with my pc. I ended up redownloading a bunch of apps including opera gx and since I didn't remember my password I ended up resetting it. when I went to resync all my passwords, bookmarks, formats, etc. it said to enter old password. I don't know my old password hence why I reset it.

so my question is, have I lost everything?

I feel like I already know the answer, that I have indeed lost everything and I'm infuriated. to lose everything because of encryption safety measures. ironic

Can anyone help me?

@kiyoinara If you talking about your passphrase, the answer is yes, your synced data is lost.

@kiyoinara Did you make a backup of your Opera profile directory?

@leocg i dont think so. in the past when I have switched from various computers I would just re log in and everything would sync up, but since I couldn't remember the password this time and didn't have it saved anywhere because I reinstalled windows
