Opera Completing Searches

Hello Guys and Gals -
I have two Macs with Opera installed. For some reason I cannot show the search box on my Macs, so I'm forced to use the address bar. It seems like lately it's always trying to complete my search tops based on topics I've searched before, which it never seemed to do before and I don't like. I've tried turning off every setting I can think of, which has not worked yet, so is there some way I can get this to stop or get the search box on MacOS? Thanks for any help.
