Cant sign into my Gmail through opera

so i have it on cromebook becuase yes but i can sign into my Gmail i mean my account was made by my Gmail ut i cant link it everytime i do i get told i cant sign in and ive read a thread from 2016 and i cleared the cookies got rid of 3rd party cokies then no cookis at all none worked and im serously considering giving up on opera

I'm having this problem, too. I can't log into any of my Google accounts--Organizational (enterprise) and Personal (free)--nor can I access Drive, Sites, Voice, Contacts, or anything except for YouTube. I can't access other services through the YouTube portal. Error message that the server is "malformed":

400. That’s an error.
The server cannot process the request because it is malformed. It should not be retried. That’s all we know.

Problem has persisted for two days across devices, in private windows, before and after syncing, logged in and logged out, and after clearing cookies.

Brave and Firefox browsers work just fine. This is an Opera problem.

@saltyfox I'm in the same boat.
I'm not going to jump through hoops to reset things.
What happens with me is that I have the extra google security.
So normally it would prompt me to insert the hardware key.
On opera and only opera when prompted to insert the key I get two competing things.
One looks like it's waiting for the key to be pressed.
The other says it sent a message to my phone.
