I used to be able to slide my mouse cursor to the top of the screen above the 'open a new tab' button to click it (Opera is maximized). With the current Opera version 89.0.4447.48 I have to lower my mouse cursor a few pixels from the top of the screen to be able to click the 'open a new tab' button.

I can click the Opera menu button, the tab selectors, the search tab button, the minimize button, the restore button, the close window button from the top of the screen. Only 'open a new tab' can't be clicked from the top of the screen.

Google Chrome's 'new tab' button can be clicked from the top of the screen. Firefox's 'open a new tab' button can be clicked from the top of the screen. Older version of Opera's 'open a new tab' button can be clicked from the top of the screen.

Looks like this started in Opera 88. Should be considered a bug.

There's a thread on it at https://forums.opera.com/topic/56223/can-t-open-new-tab-by-clicking-on-the-very-top-of-the-button. And, @andrew84 has been mentioning it in the blog post for each new Opera build that comes out.

Edit: This is known bug DNA-100196.

@burnout426 Thank you for the information. Is the bug list open to public? Where can I see DNA-100196?

@nnddcc No. It's private, sorry. But, there's not much to look at anyway. The change was just a mistake caused by working on some related things.
