Can't click on the top of the tabs

The problems occur when I try to interact with my tabs, both when trying to left click them, and when I try to close them by using mouse wheel button on them. When trying to click them, I cannot just quickly put my cursor on the tab, because the top of the tab has apparently been removed in terms of the reaction area, hit range, whatever you would call it. This must surely be a mistake, since it's really not beneficial, and must soon be patched right? Also when clicking onto other tabs just by simply left clicking, it also causes some problems, as I have to press multiple times for it to work, this is the same problem as for the mouse wheel button, but please fix the range, let the top be part of the reactive area again please, I don't want to transfer to browsers such as google, but I do consider, with this recent change that is. Just found out, that when you eventually get to delete tabs, the other tabs instantly fill the missing spaces, instead of the short delay that lets you manage everything, so you still have an overview... Where can I install the previous version????

The top thingy that I mentioned apparently turned into a slider, please help me make the update regress or something.
