Never ending sync

I am trying to sync from chrome to opera gx, signed in with the email and synced, only for it to remain that way for hours, I have tried restarting the browser many times and deselecting some options but that didn't fix it.
What do I do?

@vdandizgo You can't sync from Chrome to Opera.

@vdandizgo Try checking with a new profile directory.

@leocg is that where you have to rename the folder "opera gx stable" so it creates a new one on the next startup? just did that and nothing has changed

@vdandizgo So maybe you will need to reset your synced data.
