      Start-Opera-in-Private-browsing-mode - Copy.png

Hello. I did accidentally tap there and now there is no splash screen - and when I use the private browsing next times - it shows speed dial.
How can I return splash screen?
      Thanks.

Goto the URL opera://about, take note of the "profile" path, close Opera, and edit the "Preferences" file in the profile folder with JSONedit in tree mode. Under root/private_mode, right-click on the welcome_page_enabled node, and choose "delete selected node" and save your changes. (Or, you can keep the node and set its value to true.)

@burnout426 Thank you for the response.
          Did everything as you said.
But. There's already been set to 'true'. I tried to switch back and forth - no result. I deleted the node. Still - no result. With different a-tries I launched browser - no results.

@ginseang Are you passing --private or --incognito to launcher.exe when starting Opera to start up Opera in a private window? If so, the setting is ignored in this case and the speed dials are always shown.

@ginseang Yeah, I see. It doesn't work that way for me either. I was doing ctrl + shift + n and Menu -> New Private Window.

@burnout426 Test in Opera Beta and Opera Developer. It seems to work there for me. If that's the case for you too, then when Opera Stable hits the next major version, this should be fixed.

(It is just the browser being used by different people. Caused all the thing of my concerns.)

I downloaded Opera GX - following the tip. As another browser for the usage.

                    Will be fixed - great.
