Actually any browser (i.e. Chrome, Firefox, and even Opera) can go thru TOR to the Web. How? TOR main router is to find in the path:- LINUX (e. g. Ubuntu. Precondition that you install TOR in your home directory): /home/[user_name]/tor-browser/Browser/TorBrowser/Tor/tor
- WINDOWS e. g. in C:/Tor Browser/Browser/TorBrowser/Tor/tor.exe
tor (or tor.exe) runs at t port 9050 and works with SOCKS 5 protocol. If you are programmer you could write a simple proxy (e.g. in JAVA, PYTHON, etc.) running on your PC at port X. Your proxy "secretly" starts "TOR" before it serves browsers as Proxy Server.
My own "proxy server" works with TOR on Ubuntu & Windows and also filters all unwanted ads (listed in Blacklist)
