The real Opera (up to 12) allowed to paste with middle click any content ( link, or just plain text to search to ) on empty space at webpage, or tab bar.

It opened link from clipboard, it was mega convenient.
Even chromium can do that.

Slight addition ... Opera for Linux did that, and there was an option in Windows so that specifically middle-clicking on the tab bar could do that. (Though in Linux the text only needed to be highlighted, in Windows it was from the clipboard.)
