hi, i formatted my pc and copied all of my opera folder under appdata and after installed a new windows and signed in opera i got all of my data except extensions. when you do this with google chrome you get all of your extensions installed after signing in your account and you dont have a folder backup.

Opera's syncing doesn't back up extensions. And, Opera's extensions and their data are protected based on the user account and credentials they were installed with.

If you still had the old instance of Windows and the user account running, you might be able to convert the profile with a standalone installation of Opera to unlock some of the protections so that you can transfer that portable install to the new Windows instance, and then convert the profile back to a regular one. But, if I remember correctly, that only gets you the installation status of the extensions and not any of saved data for the extensions.

So, unfortunately, you're out of luck and will just have to install the extensions again.

@burnout426 well, you can manually install extensions from extensions folder(backup) if you enable dev. mode in settings. some of extensions dont work but at least this way lets you learn the name of extensions that you forgot you were using before.
