Video playback choppy?

Context: I'm on Opera GX, Macbook Pro (2020), with my MacOS + OperaGX fully updated.
Ever since the MacOS Monterey update was installed, my video playback on websites such as Disney+, Youtube, Netflix, ect. Have been so choppy, no matter how low or high the video quality is, no matter how much ram GX uses its just so weird. I've never had this issue before Monterey.
But there's a bit of a catch, this issue is only on Opera. Ive tested it on both Safari and Chrome and they work just fine but after being on OperaGX almost since it came out, there's no way I can go back.
Is there anything you might recommend I do to fix it or should I just give it up and go back to chrome or something?
Things i've already tried:
-Resetting Opera (dont worry, i've got backups)
-Uninstalling and Re-installing Opera
-Updating Opera and checking for more updates (its fully up to date as of rn)
-Lowering the video quality if available (going all the way down to 360p on YT didnt see any difference)
-Closing out all other programs while using Opera
-Using GX control to limit and un-limit the amounts of RAM and CPU Opera uses (both at the Min. and Max. there was no difference)This is such a huge deal to me because I mainly use opera for Leisure and School-work and having it be choppy for no discernible reason after using it with close to 0 issues for almost 2 years is just bizarre, and the only thing I can find close enough to my situation is a reddit forum from 2014 when flash was still around.
If you have anything please don't be afraid to suggest it, if something ends up working I guess i'll update this post!
