Not exactly a designer but hope you to get the idea.

And the reasoning behind it is that sometimes I'm interested on getting more information about a name or word on screen but the search result may lead to a pletora of things. This is a easy way to quickly refine the search terminology

@lukas-ar Why don't simply change the term in the search results page?

@leocg Because that would take more steps. This is a productivity feature. "Do things in less time" . ¿Why would you unnecessary open a new tab or have to write and reload an existing one if you could just adjust the search terminology on the fly ?

@lukas-ar it's more of laziness but whatever.

Anyway, you would be with the tab with the search results opened anyway, so you would just to replace the term in the search field and press enter.

@leocg Look, I don't give a damn why you are using a computer and not paper and pen because I know a computer is faster even if not cheaper. So what you call laziness in the productivity world is called convenience . Do they pay you for discouraging people for suggesting new additions to Opera? Because that would be a bad investment . You are already screwing up for free
