[Suggestion] Adjust interaction box for new tab button

  • I believe it would be beneficial to adjust the size of the new tab button to include the top row of pixels on the screen. Currently if your mouse is a the top of the screen such as in the case of typically interacting with your tabs it does not allow you to open a new tab without first moving it down onto the icon. I believe this makes the new tab icon much harder to use as the inputs to get the mouse at the right height must be more precise instead of just raising it as high as it can go.

I believe opera gx would be more user friendly if the same behavior as shown in figure 3 was present in figure 2 (below)

Figure 1: tab interaction at top row of screen pixels

  • @cmd6543 It seems that the setting doesn't work in Opera GX.

  • @leocg is there a setting to adjust this somewhere? im confused by your response

  • @cmd6543 Yes, there is. It works in regular Opera but in Opera GX it doesn't seem to be working.
Take a look in the user interface section in the settings page.

  • @leocg oh interesting. the setting seems to adjust the already open tab spacing but it does not have any effect on the new tab button
