      In Android Opera you always need to enter the full URL, eg. http://192.168.0.1, to access a server, if you enter 192.168.0.1 it does a search.

      Also, once you've visited a address and it appears in the History if you select it a search will be performed again on just the IP despite having visited the server.

      It should recognise an IP address and insert the http:// as other browsers do.

      It makes it more troublesome to use Opera when accessing LAN URLs from a tablet/phone with the extra typing required.

        @kanase Here if I type an IP address in the address bar, Opera tries to load the page.

          @leocg Strange, doesn't here on either my tablet or phone, v2.9.5.

          It has only ever done a search since I installed it about a year ago, (both devices Android 10).

          Actually you might be right, it seems that if it's just a straight IP it's ok but if I use IP:port, (which most of my servers are, eg. 192.168.0.100:12080), then I get a search.

            @kanase That version is not of Opera for Android, it seems Opera Touch. Is that the case?

              Can you move it to the right forum please?

                @kanase Done.

                Anyway, the behavior seems to be the same on Touch here.
