Opera 62 annoying notifications /popups.

In the several days since I updated to vereion 62, I was hit with popups about making opera the default browser, trying the night Mideast, adding news, and 2 others I forget. I have Already Disabled all notififications, popups, news, both in Opera settings, and in the Android apps settings. Qhy is my choice disregarded?
My device is a Samsung Galaxy tab A 10", Android 8.1
