Tab management using touch screen

I am using a touch screen laptop, and I have encountered a bug which occurs when closing tabs (only using the touch screen).
To reproduce the problem, open tabs until the tabs start reducing in size (in order to fit them all on the screen). Then start closing the tabs (any other tab than the right-most tab). The tabs will continue to stay the same size. This is a feature that allows you to quickly close a bunch of tabs, as the "X" (closing icon) will stay in the same position for the next tab. When using a mouse, moving the cursor away from the header will result in the tabs properly resizing (enlargening). However, when using a touch display, the tabs never enlargen as the "cursor" (which is hidden) never leaves the header. Not even after interacting with a web page. It issues is only fixed after opening a new tab.
Here is a link to a YouTube video showcasing the bug: https://youtu.be/VmCF8Sw7nwc
