I have had loads of opened tabs, most of them 'locked/attached' (I am using the German version of Opera and am not sure how this option is called in the English version). When I read about these work areas I thought they might be a great solution for me to get some structure in all of my tabs.
Then one of the most recent updates prompted for a restart which I of course did - but now all my tabs are lost. Every work area is empty and all the tabs I kept in the main window are gone too. I had been using all this many tabs before and they all 'survived' restarts of Opera and my Windows 10 x64-PC ...
I did not read of any requirements (not deleting cookies on every new start, scripting active or else). So what is the reason behind this problem? Was it necessary to get an Opera-account first to backup such settings or why was everything lost?

Short: What do I have to do to prevent such a problem?

      Thank you!

      Regards

      Bernd Leutenecker

Once more - all data lost ...

I have rebooted my computer this morning. Opera was opened with three windows, in only one window I used the tabs of my several work areas. In each work area I have from five to around 35 tabs, all important of them as 'fixed/attached tabs' (translated from the German Opera-version I am using without knowing if this are the same names/identifiers in the English version).
In the two other windows I had used other manually opened sites - and I cannot remember which window I had closed last before rebooting.
Now the icons of my 'work areas' on the left vertical side of Opera are still there - but empty.
Long ago I had created an Opera-account, hoping that (like with Firefox) such data would be backed-up there (I still couldn't find a way to safe my 'work areas' for problems like now again) and too that when starting Opera on another computer and logging in with my Opera-account all this settings would transferred to that Browser on another computer. Well - never happened, so I can't see any advantage in logging-in apart from giving data to Opera ...

Does anyone know how to backup the work areas?
