[Suggestion] A video downloader in the sidebar

The thing i want for this is a video downloader, you click it and there will be a textbox where you will put the link of the video you want to download, the difference is that there you can put a video from more websites than Youtube like Twitter, Reddit or Facebook, and you can download them with the resolution you want, i think it would be useful because you will get the videos you want to send to a friend or to video editing without searching a lot (Sorry if this isn't very understandable, i'm not good in english)

@unusuariocomunycorriente this sounds like a good suggestion, unfortunately I think copyright and ownership laws would prevent this. Weve seen plenty of convert2mp3/4 websites get taken down in the past few years so its unlikely theyll implement this

@peffz Opera could block the download in pages where it could be an issue.

@leocg I was thinking about a native browser function being able to download the video, Im guessing youre at implementing third party sites as browser shortcut functions so to speak

@peffz No, I'm talking about a native downloader, even one that automatically gets all videos on opened pages and allow you to download them.
However, in certain pages the download would be blocked.

@leocg Well yeah but that doesnt chage the fact that offering video download services has gotten websites taken down in the past, meaning opera would possibly open themselves up to vulnerability there

@peffz True, and probably that's why such feature was never offered.

However, I don't see why don't have it at least for pages that don't have a policy against downloads.
