Facebook messenger sidebar, new message sound notification

Hello. I am using Facebook messenger on the sidebar. I am used to hearing a sound, every time I receive a new message, like it does when you are on the Facebook page. On the sidebar app it doesn't happen and I usually realize there's a new message, a little too late. Can it be done in any way via settings?
