What is the point of signing up for OperaSync if it never saves your session?

Just had a crash for some reason, then came back to find all my tabs gone, it doesn't even save your bookmarks, so saving my session as a speed dial does nothing.

Tried changing the "Last session" "and "Last tabs" to "Current Session" and "Current tabs" and nothing, is there any way besides using a third party extension to protect my session?

@Squirrelphobia What Sync has to do with it? It's a synchronization service, not a backup one and sessions were never synced.
