I am using Opera 23.0.1522.77 ,there is a very annoying video stutter,I enabled the statistics,it shows about 30 frames dropped every 30seconds.This does not happen in other browsers,i tried Opera next and the dev edition, but the issue persists, even tried to update flash player to 15 beta, issue is still there...Please fix it!!currently using Adobe Flash Player Version: 14,0,0,179

Hi. Is the plug-ins' hardware acceleration enabled? Playing with this setting might help you.
If not, you can try to use the Pepper version of the Flash plug-in.
There's a beta version available here: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer.htmlThere's a heading "Flash Player 15 Beta Installers", get the installer via the link Download Flash Player for Opera and Chromium based applications – PPAPI.
Install it, now open Opera and type "opera:flags" in the address field and press enter. Enable the Find Pepper Flash plug-in experiment and restart Opera.
Now access "opera:plugins" and expand the details. Disable the one which says it's NPAPI architecture and leave the PPAPI one enabled. Do you get better results with the video now?

thanks for the quick reply.
The good news:Yes,videos run smooth as butter now!
The bad news:I don't get surround sound when listening to spotify web player :((I do get surround when using 14,0,0,179 NPAPI one... -

It looks like it has to do with the implementation of the Pepper architecture in Chromium (the framework/engine Opera is based on).
Take a look at the bug reported in the Chromium bug tracker, you can star it to let them know you're interested in getting the issue fixed and get updates about it:

i have a question with the pepper player when a new adobe update comes up can you revert it back to normal like it was before or is this permanant because it worked for me before on a 480p video a 5 minute video at the end had around 15000 dropped frames now it is at 100 which thats fine for me but when a new adobe flash player comes out will i have to revert the settings i did to try it out and see if it still lags?
