Upsetting behavior. Opera does not discern symbolic links files from directory names files. Symlinks should be have added a character to make them recognized. Midnight Commander (MC) uses tilde mark (~).
Those symlinks from the picture below are named
~java and ~libreoffice in MC accordingly
.

@pavelopdev What about other Chromium based browsers? What about other browsers in general?

@leocg I'm not using virgin Chromium and other Chromium's offspring! I'm using Opera Developer browser.
Nothing ticked me off more than the (in)famous this OperaForums's mantra:
Opera will probably have it if and when Chromium has it.

@pavelopdev If it's a Chromium issue, then it needs to be fixed in Chromium.

@pavelopdev And the mantra will always be valid for any Chromium feature never touched by Opera.

@leocg OK, I'm cooled off, but would you mind to list the issues concerning Chromium (as much as possible) and which were so many times touched by Opera users throu the last few years of these forums?
I need Opera functional fully and the pesky issues are like thorns in the ass. Real bugs are to be removed, decidedly, but unfinished or botched up needy things should be cared off as well.
Thank you for your sincere clarification.

@leocg Tough luck. It'd be for us all, not for me only. Reading the suggestions/"bugs"/requests umpteen times is boring. Not mentioning that pointing to the real needs brings nothing to Opera. Sad. Only blood, sweat and tears, even for diehard Opera users.
