History Search Autocomplete is buggy, ability to disable?

Unable to search terms in the History Tab Search Bar.

It tries to autocomplete a few seconds after typing in a term(s) and it will completely mess up the search term and it happens within a second or two that even trying to brute force and retyping the term it will constantly make the word(s) become incoherent mess.

For Example:
typing in the phrase "find cat" will have it stop midway and autocorrect to finca or findat or ficat deleting the entire query and trying again doesn't really help as it is constantly trying to replace the text.

I stumbled upon the same error around version 72.0.3815.186. When I test it on current 72.0.3815.211, the problem seems to occur from time to time. I use Windows 10.
It seems when I try to write in something that isn't yet in the histotry, or is not on suggested list, then I can't search it - hitting Enter doesn't do anything.
The problem started a few days ago (2-5? - don't remember exactly), so the bug had to slip through then.
