Hello,
i didnt think to have a need to make an account just to ask for help but I have exhausted my patience searching fixes on the web regarding the intrusive pop up that is now affecting my workflow because the pop up stays on top of whatever im working on and stays there unless I press cancel. And it isnt just one pop up it reappears randomly and today I had to click cancel for about 8 times now. I am using a non-admin account for work. I allowed it to update once or twice but sine there will be unending versions to come, I suspect it will keep on bothering me forever. rather switch to a different browser than have this inconvenience. Please help.

that's odd, i've never had Opera ask me to enter in the username or password when updating. It does it by itself in the background then asks me to relaunch.
have you tried reinstalling from scratch? then restore your saved data (passwords, settings, etc)

@nintendork07 thank for your reply, it is Asking for the Macbook password and account because I’m using a work profile account, the work account is non admin account for Mac so updates and other installation are not altered unless i give it admin credentials
