Move multiple tabs to a new window at the same time

  • Can you please for the love of god make it so that I can select multiple tabs and drag them all out to a new window? I can't find any way of doing it anywhere. It's so god dang frustrating and infuriating having to move all the tabs I want to move one by one, especially when there's more than say 3 of them. Typically I'd want to move about 10 or more at a time and currently the process goes something like:

Click tab, drag to new window, release tab, go back to old window. Click next tab, drag out of current window, hover over new window, wait for new tab to snap to new window, release tab, go back to old window. Click next tab, drag out of current window, hover over new window, wait for new tab to snap to new window, release tab, go back to old window. Click next tab, drag out of current window, hover over new window, wait for new tab to snap to new window, release tab, go back to old window. Click next tab, drag out of current window, hover over new window, wait for new tab to snap to new window, release tab, go back to old window. Click next tab, drag out of current window, hover over new window, wait for new tab to snap to new window, release tab, go back to old window.

And that's just if you don't really care if the tabs stay in order.... and don't get me started on trying this with only one monitor and having to deal with which window is on top . Think of all the time you could save simply by doing it all at once.

Yes I know I could send it to a new workspace but sometimes you run out of room or you want two things up on two different screens and in that case you're screwed.

    Thanks.

  • @maxgasse Try the "Tab Scissors" extension.
This extension splits a window into two at the selected tab. Maybe this will help you.
