V7 Bookmarks Extension Issue

Used to be, without the sidebar open, I could press the keyboard shortcut and V7 would open. Now the V7 keyboard shortcut only works if the sidebar is open. What am I missing to enable the V7 keyboard shortcut without the sidebar open? Thanks

I'm guessing that when Opera disabled the extension sidebar and moved sidebar extensions to the regular sidebar, they either forgot to cause sidebar extension shortcuts to also invoke "show sidebar" if the sidebar isn't shown. Or, they purposely didn't do it because they thought it didn't make sense to make a sidebar shortcut work if the sidebar isn't showing.
Workaround for now is to set F4 for "show sidebar" and hit F4 before you hit V7's shortcut. Crappy workaround though.
