Instagram sidebar on Opera GX shows web version instead of mobile version.

So I've just downloaded Opera GX and was quite disappointed to find that the promised mobile-like Instagram sidebar feature isn't working for me, and instead it shows the web version. I can't receive nor send Direct Messages to anyone. My friend who recommended me Opera GX has this feature and it's working perfectly fine for him.

Has anyone encountered the same problem?

@kyky Desktop version of Instagram web being shown in sidebar is expected and shouldn't cause any issues regarding viewing direct messages because Direct Messages work fine with the desktop version.

@leocg From what I know the Web version of Instagram does not have any Direct Messaging features. It's exclusive to the mobile version. The problem is my friend is able to Direct Message on his Opera GX Instagram sidebar and I'm lacking that feature. Could there be anything to do with regions?

@kyky Yes, it does have Direct Messages, I've checked in more than one browser.

And yes, maybe Instagram hasn't rolled out Direct Messages on the web version for you yet.

I remember someone posting about the same issue.

@leocg Alright, thanks for the reply! I guess all i can do is wait till the feature does come out for me/my region.
