Opera 23 and a status bar

Hello.
I recently reinstalled Mac OS X on my computer and wanted to give Opera a try again, since I have fond memories from the early 2000s when using Windows.
Ever since switching to Mac OS X, Opera has always not been up to par for my simple needs.
Now I wanna try again and even downloaded Opera Mini on my iPhone and even enabled OperaLink (later found out not working with newer versions yet - strange). But I cannot find the fucking STAUS BAR anyway. Is it gone for good now? Or am I just to blind to find it?
Can anyone please shed some light on that, even if I look dumb?

Since I am not able to edit my post, I sadly have to post another.
Toolbars also seem to have gone. Is that a feature?
PS: I am using OS X 10.8.5 on a 2009 MBP.

If you hover a link, it'll display the URL destination at the bottom like all the other major browsers do nowadays. You can't see it, or are you looking for other info/function that used to be there?

I just read the OperaLink instructions and they mentioned the status bar like other browsers also have, but since OL is not supported yet, and all those other tools formerly accessible via the status bar also being gone, I guess there is no need for it anymore.
I remember a status bar from version 11 and 12 and even earlier versions, capable of setting Turbo and other stuff.
It is just gone, like the toolbars, I guess that comes with a new code, if I understood that correctly. I will use Safari again for awhile and look at Opera in a year or so again or maybe even in between, I will not throw it in the Trash anyway.

Yeah you can see some threads about Link. When it comes back it'll certainly appear in the menu instead of a status bar.
Turbo is present in the menu "Opera".
