I updated Opera Mac to version 70.0.3728.71.

Since then I have been getting this message very regularly:

      DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN

      And the page isn't loading.

I've cleared the cache, cleared the DNS cache of opera and of my Mac. And the same message over and over again.

If I disable DNS-over-HTTPS on Opera, I don't have this problem anymore.

It worked fine with the previous version.

@david-fr It happens when the DOH server fails to accept the connection or to find the DNS. Try uisng a different one.

@leocg Thanks for your answer. I try to change the doh server for another and clear all cache (opera & Mac) and the same message.

it's strange because with the version 69, this not happened... i will try again

I am also running into same issue. There seem to be a bug. Is there a way to further diagnose this issue?

@naidu Try testing the same DOH server with other browsers.

I try to use DOH server on Firefox 79 (Cloudflare and Quad9) and it work great.

On Opera 69 DOH work great with Cloudflare and Quad9 but with the new version, this don't work.

I try to delete Opera and install it again. But the same problem

Why DOH at all? I deactivated DOH in the browser and set Cloudflare (1.1.1.1 etc.) directly in the router as DNS server. No problems (Opera 70).

Unfortunately I can't say anything about it, because I had always deactivated DOH. But I suppose that this is a bug in the latest version or it " gets stuck " with other settings. I would wait for the next update. Can't take too long.

This is definitely a bug it started happened few versions back and I am using beta versions. Are there any logs we can look to see?

@david-fr Did you test it for at least a couple of days, in different times of the day?

@david-fr It seems that regular DNS server is no longer used as fallback when DOH fails.

                                        Hey, all!
I don't know what's going on since few hours but I have sometimes this DNS error. The sometimes is important because I can't reproduce the error and when I reload the page, it works. So, basically, not a big bug but just an annoying fact.
I googled it, "patched" it: it changed nothing.
                                        Any ideas?

@auxiliumdei Read above, it happens when DOH/DNS fails.

Apparently, this is a bug from Opera 70...
As It was working smoothly before...
