html5 video on youtube

i installed opera gx today but when watching youtube, it said "your browser dosent recognize any of the video formats available" then a link to an faq page about html5 video, when i click the link, it says opera supports it, but i still cant watch youtube videos that use html5 video. can someone link me an extension or a potential fix to this problem.
my os is windows 10 for anyone wondering.

@Terraria8767 What does https://html5test.com/ says about video support? Do you have Windows 10 N by chance?
