imported bookmarks lostt

until now i used regular opera, but after having to force shutdown my pc because it froze, regular opera did not open anymore, which is a problem i have had before and was not able to find an answer for except just switching out the browser for another, so i chose opera gx, which automatically imported the bookmarks that are directly below the adress bar, but did not do this for the ones that appear when an new tab is opened, so i was wondering if maybe opera keeps an register of bookmarks, that can be accessed maybe somewhere online or offline that could help me just restoring the old bookmarks?

@leocg yes, but it did not contain the old bookmarks. i also noticed that my browser history has been imported just fine which puzzels me even more
