When will I be able to import favorites and have a working Opera Link ?

Is there an ETA of when Opera Link will finally work?
The note on the Opera Link page that it is broken has been there for many many months.
Is it correct that it still is not possible to import my favorites from Internet Explorer ?
I DO like Opera, but above major issues seem to indicate that this still is a product that is in BETA stage.
I am using Version 22.0.1471.70

It's not a beta, but a superb product. ;). However to get your IE bookmarks into Opera, one approach would be for you import them into the Chrome browser (which has an import feature) and after you have accomplished that, then copy the bookmarks file in the Chrome profile into the Opera 22 profile. You can find the location of the Opera 22 profile in your computer by going to the menu and About Opera. There are some other approaches, and some third party software, but this comes to mind right away as fairly easy.
Opera is working on a direct import vehicle. We're currently in Opera 22. I'm not sure if the plan is to have it available in Opera 23 or 24 at this point. Or maybe later. If anyone from Opera Next or otherwise has an idea, I hope you post that information here.

If the import of bookmarks is the only issue then I can handle it. So under about I see:
Install: C:\Program Files\Opera
Profile: C:\Users\John\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable
Cache: C:\Users\John\AppData\Local\Opera Software\Opera StableDo I put the chrome bookmarks file into Opera Stable by cut & paste? Everyone is not a power user. Please assist those willing to do work without a Bookmark Manager. Be specific. Thanks! austexjam

Are you copying the bookmarks file from Chrome? Copy and paste is better. That way, you save the file you had also. And if there are bookmarks in Opera at this point, by doing that you will overwrite them with what you paste. Your Chrome bookmarks will become bookmarks in Opera.
If the bookmarks are from another browser, and weren't imported into Chrome first, this won't work. What you need to be doing is copying the Chrome bookmarks file into the Opera profile.
I would make sure Opera is closed when you do it -- to be on the safe side.

Just Fine?
ROTFL
[mod edit: Watch your mouth! I removed your insult. If you go on like this I'll remove a bit more...]
New chromium after a year lacks basic features that comes as standard with every other browser on earth
No suprise that after over a year in ALPHA stage even long time Opera users reject this joke of a browser -

http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_opera.aspFacts ?, was that the first link you found when doing a search for Opera browser via google and deemed it as facts ?. Care to count how many different sites that list browser statistics ? and I bet there are as many as there are varied results.
A huge chunk of long time users of any software are reluctant to change, especially if the change is as drastic as it has been with Opera, that goes without saying.
I'll not elaborate any further, as it's not worth wasting my time, as this subject has been done to death.
And yes, I am still using Opera Presto (12.14 to be exact), and will be using it for the foreseeable future until Opera Blink fits my needs. For which I am prepared to wait.

LOL... You're clueless. Where's Opera 21 (released in May) and 22 (June)? Hmm "Other" increased, "O 12" decreased... Do the math. FAIL -

A huge chunk of long time users would switch in a blink (pun intended).
The condition is that the new version is better and no so much inferior to the old version.New Opera probably set the world record in lowest adoption rate in 12 months.
Most long time users did installed Opera 15-23 but never actually stopped using Opera 12 as their main browser.

Opera Blink is great, and for me, better in a lot of areas. I have no hesitation strongly recommending it. And I love some of the new features, like the Speed Dial with folders, Discover, Stash . . . I have Opera 12 on my computer, but I have generally stopped using it. No need, as the new browser makes me more than happy. As for importing favorites, it's generally do-able, though if you're having problems, post, and users here will hopefully be able to help you. Hope in the future, Opera will make it easier for users to get their favorites into this new super-fast browser, as I think it's a better place to be.
