having strange problem with GX locks up the computer

Yesterday GX started opening a dozen or more extra tabs by itself. Sometimes they would go away and repopulate. This much activity shuts down my CPU and forces me to shut down the browser from Task Manager. I've had similar problems with regular Opera. Right now I'm using Brave and having no issues. Should I delete and re DL Opera or could there be something going on in my computer?

@mibagents If you have any extensions, disable them. Also check your system for malware.
