Workspaces backup

I was f**d up by opera crash when all my opened tabs (100+) vanished. I want to use workspaces to manage my tabs in future. But it has to be saved as backup for such bad scenarios like crash/windows update. For usual work I found out that Last Session and Last Tabs files could be saved to restore in case of crash. It's also possible to save with extensions like Session Buddy. But how to save all workspaces and their tabs? Yes one can save to dial folder each of workspaces but anyway I want to save some backup file.

I also didn't find the way to open Last Session, Last Tabs files to see its content. They are binary.

Code at your link raises exception.
I've found this decoder

But you need python2 and required modules are only in SNSS branch. This outputs more than just list of tabs it includes additional interaction records which maybe are possible to filter.

So finally to make back up you need to save Last Session, Last Tabs files. If you need to investigate their internals then use aforementioned python 2 scripts

@queensnow Opera devs, congrats for the would-be-awesome workspaces. I'd love them. But just got a new mac (2 weeks ago, but I just opened Opera now, as it wasn't still compatible with M1) and the only thing of all my apps not neatly restored is Opera, particularly Opera Workspaces.
Big Sur is making a good job now backing up my previous computer and restoring my software to the very exact same state it was in my previous computer.... But Opera, not having a backup for Workspaces...

I was loving /relying on them so much that now I've lost some important stuff... (fortunately they limited it to 5 workspaces Hope Opera fixes the limit after the backup too....

Opera chrashed and all Workspaces now are empty.
That was really bad! More than 50 tabs wasnt saved.
