FORESTWORKER90 last edited byThis addon still works in 2023 and for someone who uses opera for ages and opens a lot of tabs, this is a blessing. Opera wants users but isn't seeing edge and Vivaldi browser which has vertical tabs out of the box for power users. But the downside is that, it is not updated since 2019 which is sad as it could be maintained and donations would come in. Plus would request dev to upload this to chrome web addons store so we can install this from there. A search bar for open and pinned tabs would be great like Firefox vertical tabs addons have. If dev is alive, then he can respond and let us know more on this. Thanks.

It works! But the design does look very dated. I'm using it on Opera GX and it kind of sticks out because it's not "pretty" like everything else is. Big props to the author though for being the only vertical tab extension for Opera as far as I know.

@tofumon: True, only vertical tab that is correctly working in opera, feels so bad, there is the native vertical tab of edge that's so amazing as well the (sideberry) extension on firefox which is even better !

I was looking for something similar to the Simple Tab Grouper in Firefox but this seems just as well, thanks for making it!

lucksme last edited byI have used Vertical Tabs by kroppy for many years, ever since Opera dropped the inbuilt feature. In the last year or so, the option to change the group-tab's colour no longer works. In the instructions the author says that the group colour is inherited from the first favicon that group is started with. It means that I have group tabs that are illegible with white text on white or pale tabs.
In addition, the tab design could be modernised as others have suggested.
Otherwise, I love using Vertical Tabs by kroppy, as I often have many tabs open simultaneously, and Opera's latest development in tab design is a nightmare to use. -

its good but i wish if we can further resize the vertical tab more since ima using opera gx and the sidebar is always active so the vertical tabs take a big chunk of space even when i resized it to the smallest possible size

хрень тупая.. не умеет даже группировать вкладки как надо. Тоесть чтобы группа была сразу внутри вкладки а не отдельной папочкой.. идиотизм делать в отдельную папку. полный идиотизм
в мозилле Tree Style tab - ахрененная штука. А тут гавно -

stupid crap.. can't even group tabs properly. That is, so that the group is immediately inside the tab and not a separate folder.. idiocy to do in a separate folder. complete idiocy
in Mozilla Tree Style tab is an incredibly beautiful thing. And here it's crap -
