I use 'Samsung Internet' browser and find this feature VERY useful/handy. But there this feature works with the 'Video assistant' feature enabled. It means that there is a floating button visible when I click on video and I must first press this button, select 'watch in full screen' (Probably video is opened in some internal built in video player) and on screen gestures will work in this case.
My suggestion here is to be able using gestures on all full screen videos (without any floating buttons if it's technically possible). Option in Settings 'Enable gestures for full screen videos' or similar.
