Sync is all screwed up!

stevenjcee last edited by leocgI bought a new computer, installed Opera, hit Synchronize, asked me to login, but wouldn't accept my password, (even though I was signed in on my laptop, using the same password. Then it signed me in, so I thought. But now, whenever I put in my username, before or after I enter my password, the window just vanishes! Then when I click the Synchronize in preferences, or go to my account, it shows a page that says it's now deleting all my data!
But eventually, I don't know what I did, but it then began telling me i had this many bookmarks, this many saved passwords, etc, etc. OK, so I thought, it somehow retrieved all my data, but then I updated Opera, closed & opened it, and nothing is showing, no bookmarks, no browsing history, passwords, nothing! What is going on with Synch? Does it work, or is it just a non-functioning fantasy? I've used Opera for many years, yet now, it's like I'm starting over, except that it told me I have thousands of bookmarks, etc, etc., has Opera become dysfunctional? Cause I sure can't figure out what's going on.....
