Duh... I just realized how dumb what I said is... lol... I was for some reason thinking in terms of "numbered in order" rather than the post count #.. but still no icon..

I may as well add here... that it sometimes gives me the "2 posts within 120 sec" error, when I didn't do that & after waiting the required 5 min, it still gives same error.
It's an anti-flood forum setting.
Btw, all that discussion about the forum is kinda off-topic here.

"Yes, just click on the icon below the post count (the one on the left) and
then on edit. You can edit your post up to 30 minutes after have posted
them."
Thx leocg... Well, that might explain something... what icon? There is no icon below the post count on my screen. Any idea why not? (funny thing tho...its such a simple answer (outside the fact it doesn't show on my screen), yet I asked the mod guy & he couldn't tell me that..Can't you see even the "quote" icon?

"I may as well add here... that it sometimes gives me the "2 posts

Btw, all that discussion about the forum is kinda off-topic here....You missed the point. I said: "...when I didn't do that" (meaning I didn't violate the time rule so it shouldn't kick in the error)... and also I added that: "after waiting the required 5 min, it still gave the error..".
So I was describing how the anti spam thing wasn't working properly, as described above... which by default, implies/shows that I already understood what it was there for... while you are only telling about the anti spam, which I obviously already knew of.
As to "all that discussion about the forum".... What IS "the topic"? I was reporting various malfunctions of the browser. While doing so I experienced the 2 issues w/the errors, which shouldn't have occurred, so it seems reasonable to make note of it at that point. Moreover, I don't know at this point, nor do I think you know, that any difficulties I described (including the 2 re: the posting errors) are: 1) due to the browser, 2) due to the forum architecture, 3) due to phone/device, or 4) any combination of above. I made that point in a previous thread, where the errors & malfunctions were either not answered/explained or, we're not answered correctly, sameness above where I reported the 2 errors thrown which shouldn't have been thrown because they were not triggered by the reality of the rules built in to the anti spam efforts. The only reason I even mentioned that it happened, was to add to the list of all the malfunction & non+working things, I constantly & consistently have experienced, for a long time. And it also was hoping that reporting enough of them & their nature, might help to sort out whether the cause(s) were due to whatever from the list of possibilities above.
Again, what "topic" do you refer to?

...and also, the only reason things went to forum specific issue is because I could not delete or edit & so I asked which led to your question about the icon, which I said there's no icon showing & led to other points.

"Also just noticed that the post count reads the same for me on the
entire page."As it should. The count will change when you post new comments
... The post I made 7 hrs earlier, the one just before yours above, clearly explains that I realized my mistake.

"Can't you see even the "quote" icon?"
... No, I can't see that either & I believe I reported that in the previous thread, (either I did or I was put off track by the mod who was giving an attitude & a host of misunderstood or incorrect replies), but I at least was trying to report that I was not seeing the quote marks either. I think I did but it was not followed thru with.
So, no icon, no quotation marks, and no thumbs up/down sign o the right. As I already reported, the quotations marks & the icon did not show on any of 4 browsers I checked, but the other 3 browsers (besides mini) did show the up/down thumbs.
There also are 2 "zero's" showing on the left, ea one being clickable like a link, but do nothing, except sometimes 1 of them causes a zoom in.
As to how this (apparently..who knows?) forum specific stuff, (as opposed to whatever you think the so called "topic" is... well, I'll point out that after an extended period of time, after this so called update, there was only 3 or 4 comments here, all being combines that the browser doesn't work & neither you nor any of your counterparts, so much as offered a single word to any of those posters, as any sort of help. Nothing.. Nada. I at least gave them the common courtesy of some kind of reply, rather than them just being ignored, whether I had a tip or a comment or added my own similar complaints... so i think it's ludicrous to suggest that there's any king of problem or wrong, w/me posting these posts. It's all about malfunctioning opera mini and/or opera mini forum, while using opera mini to access the forum, issues & it sucks & almost all the various posts by different users & the various threads...say the same dang thing over & over & over. This, IMHO, is not the time for a dying mobile browser to split hairs about the posting protocols, but to get down to business to solve these problems in a timely manner.

"Ok, I've just checked and it seems that Opera Mini doesn't show the tools
and quote icons.
Not sure if it's a Mini issue or a forum one."...omg....unbelievable...so in other words, you're giving these answers & opinions, specifically in & specifically about, opera mini....while obviously, you (as well as the mod on the previous thread about these issues..) are using a pc or something else than a phone, to read & deal w/these "Android phone specific issues", which is what opera mini Android is specifically for. So both of you now have wasted time by assuming you can using a pc to observe & comment on opera mini Android (cell phone) issues!
That's pretty ridiculous if you care for my opinion. ESPECIALLY when considering the nature of the problems I've been reporting & AFTER I have already suggested that it could be related to interplay between mini & phone, in terms of both the browser AND the forum... So (lol) NOW you admit that there's not yet a way to tell if it's 1) forum related, phone related, or mini related or a combination of.
Sheeez (I don't think you guys are paying very good attention to the facts reported, not using very critical think no in your responses, but then again, wtfdik?

Should've read: "critical thinking"...but of course I can't edit cuz there's....wait for it..... NO edit function! (nor quote function, nor delete, malfunctioning anchor or place holder, can't post w/o high number of retries, too small fonts, mysterious "o" links, and the best of all....how you can't even normally use asterisks, underscores, equal signs, etc etc etc, w/o causing all sorts of "markdown" related issues (especially w/you guys who are reading about opera mini Android phone related posting & text issues, while using a PC to read it & check it... ughhhh)

More accolades for opera mini!
Tried to sign up for gravitar for the heck of it. Worst experience possible.. The way the site displayed it was very non-intuitive re: how to get started. When I got past that, as soon as I entered my email addy, it said it was an invalid addy w/the wrong level ending. It's dot com, same as almost everybody else, but it threw an error (what a concept..) which has gotten to be a "way of life" w/opera mini... error after error after error, endlessly. Finally I got it to accept my email (after it 1st rejected every field I tried to enter, a bunch of times) addy & registered. I activated got a confirmation. The confirmation email text was ALL I white letters on an off white background, almost impossible to see or read. Dumbest thing I ever saw.. Then it invited me to link to a sign in page. The sign in page immediately rejects my email addy soon as I enter it, stating that it's "invalid" (I know what it is & how to enter it). So I tried to re-register, but it says that there is already an account & that the email addy I try to enter is already taken (correct, it's taken by me). This is sooo typical of everything & anything opera mini or opera mini related. So now, how quaint it is that both the forum & the avatar/website partner, is such a PERFECT non working MATCH! Truly perfect irony. 1st it wouldn't let me know how to sign up, then it rejected my own long used email address, then, after signing up, it refused to accept the same email address that it confirmed as signed up with & also refused to allow a re-register, effectively rendering the entire process & product as absotively, posilutely, unusable in any way shape or form, period. There is no exaggeration of anything here. It's exactly reported as it is. And I have screenshots, but no one bothered to answer how to post them when I asked (more than once). Sad.

2 more issues (they appear or happen quicker than I can document them..) (also, it's still not been established what the source is of the errors & malfunctions, forum, phone or mini, thus they are being posted here).
There are 2 checkboxes kittycorner to the big O. One says menu next to it & the other says nothing. They are checkable. They do nothing.. Also, an unwanted speedial appeared & is not removable.

I was just sayingthat the anti-flood issue has nothing to do with Opera browser as it is a forum setting.
Again, what "topic" do you refer to?
The ones about the forum and not related to Opera itself as said.

I was using Opera for Android but not specifically Opera Mini. And i was just trying to figure out what could be happening as i don't recall may others complaining about those icons being missed and i really couldn't realize that Mini itself was the problem.

"I was just sayingthat the anti-flood issue has nothing to do with Opera
browser as it is a forum setting."... I agree fully that by itself is true, but again, you seem to somehow fail to recognize that 7 hrs BEFORE you posted that point, I posted a correction where I admitted that what I said was dumb because it was based on a mistake I made. I realized it on my own & so I posted the correction. That's what I see on my screen as to the chronology of the posts. What I said makes your comment moot. Unless maybe not all my posts are showing to others or then chronology reads different on my screen than yours?

"Again, what "topic" do you refer to?"
The ones about the forum and not related to Opera itself as said.
... Maybe I'm reading you wrong, but it sounds like you are mixed up on this point... If I'm not mistaken, the original topic of discussion on this thread, was basically 3 or 4 peeps with the same & ongoing theme, being iterated for a long time, that opera mini or the updated version was not working right or at all, for those ppl. If I missed something in that regard & it was actually about something else, such as about the forum, as your comment seems to say...then my apology, but I don't think it was. Because your comment above says not, that it was about opera mini problems & that after I threw in my 2 cents about that, then I also went into the forum problems comments, which I believe is what did happen... but it reads w/you saying it was about the forum & I changed it to comments about opera mini. That's what you said, in effect, because I asked you what topic you were referring to in some previous comment you made, where you referred to the original topic of the thread & how I may have gotten off of it. Your reply, above, answers by stating: the one about the forum. So that sounds like you have it mixed up. In any event, I assume what you mean, is how it was about the browser & at some point I began commenting about the forum. If so, please don't be lost on the fact that I addressed that w/2 reasons. 1) that it was not established that the issues I reported that related to the forum only apparently, could not also be possibly due to either the problems w/the browser, or my phone or some combination. You later admitted the same thing was possible. And 2) because you had asked me something that sort of led me into comments about the forum, but I didn't know it was the forum specifically or not & so I honestly was seeing it all..... as apropos, in a general, malfunctioning opera mini & forum way. All this stuff was contained in the previous thread (7.5.4) but was closed off (inappropriately in my opinion), as I was in the process of trying to show how the explanations given there were all wrong or wrong context...and supposedly, the important thing to do, in his supposed idea of moving fwd, was to end it & move on to to this thread with supposed update...but I watched it for awhile, after the update & there were only a very few comments made, but they were all the same ol same ol theme...."it don't work, it don't work, it don't work... and so finally, after seeing that, it seemed valid & appropriate to jump in and make my rant about how it was wrong for that previous thread to be shut down in the middle of me showing how his comments were incorrect ones.... And... to then move back into all the additional complaints I had about all the ensuing issues that keep rearing their head, whether the base causes are mini, the forum architecture, my phone, or some combination, and especially so, for that very reason, that those possible culprits have indeed NOT, been identified. The intention is not to complain, simply for its own sake, but in the interest of getting to the bottom of it.

"I was using Opera for Android but not specifically Opera Mini. And i was
just trying to figure out what could be happening as i don't recall may

realize that Mini itself was the problem."... Which lead you to wrong assumptions, IMHO, because it now seems pretty obvious that using opera to look at & deal with Opera mini specific problems, is not a good way to do it. I believe I found the mod in thst previous thread (I referred to) did the same thing, which also led him astray. That's how I see it. The stuff I've reported & my loose conclusions make sense.
In any event, you have now reported that you too have found that those icons & other tools you noted, are indeed not in place as they should be, in opera mini, thus play a significant part in the complaints & problems noted & so doesn't THAT need to be addressed & maybe dealt with/fixed??

Maybe it would be interesting to report the issue using Help > Report a problem on Opera Mini.
