I need to post here since you locked previous topic about video players. After update Netflix works fine but video players on other sites still froze on frame or two and sometimes they do not even start...

Can you give an example of a site on which video freezes?

I think this is the same issue: https://forums.opera.com/post/182606
EDIT: I can also confirm that this still happens on the latest Opera Developer release (66.0.3475.0).

@avl said in Video freezes or even doesn't start:
Can you give an example of a site on which video freezes?
Sure, for example: www.sadistic.pl

@avl I have the same issue. It started after updating opera and my mac on the same day.
It's happening on sites like
-
IMDB where the video starts then freezes and then you see : This video file cannot be played.
(Error Code: 224002) . -
Tumblr where the video disappears as soon as I try to play it.
-
On instagram the video starts playing then stops.
-
It's also happening on various streaming websites, such as Vidtodo where the video does not play at all and it says The media playback was aborted due to a corruption problem or because the media used features your browser did not support.
Would love some help! thanks. The videos are playing fine on Safari, but I usually prefer Opera and would like to keep using it.

Hi guys, and what if you enable the
opera://flags/#ffmpeg-demuxer-everywhere
, and restart the Opera, does it help? -

Hi @matt616, nice to hear that, but enabling or disabling works?

It was disabled by default for the version of Opera that I was using, so I selected enable and that worked for me.
macOS Catalina, Opera Version: 64.0.3417.61
