[Solved]Can't block "Allow Gmail To Open All Email Links?" Pop-Up
-

I am using the latest version of Opera.
After signing into Gmail last week, a pop-up asked if I wanted to allow Gmail to open all email links.
I know what this means and clicked ‘Block’ but the pop-up was displayed again this morning and I clicked ‘Block’ again.
I figured clicking 'Block' once would be sufficient but the pop-up still appears.
Does a Gmail setting, an Opera setting or both need to be changed in order to stop receiving these pop-ups and what are the steps?

Goto
opera://settings/handlers
and delete mail.google.com from the list.Goto
opera://settings/siteData
, typegoogle.com
in the search field and remove all shown.Close Opera, open it and goto mail.google.com.
Click through different messages and back etc. till you get the pop-up. Then, block it again. Also, confirm that it's in
opera://settings/handlers
again. If that still doesn't do the trick, I wonder if an extension or adblocker is interfering with something.
I tested myself in Opera and with it blocked, I don't see the pop-up anymore.

Thank you for replying to my post.
I went to opera://settings/handlers and all that is listed is the 'Privacy and Security' section with 'Allow sites to ask to become default handlers for protocols (recommended) and it is set on 'On.'
'Mail.google.com' was already removed from the list.
I went to opera://settings/siteData and login.live.com (6 cookies) and mg.mail.yahoo.com (File System) have trash can icons beside them.
Please advise.

By the way, the pop-up is only displayed when signing into Gmail. It is not displayed again during the email session or if I sign out and sign back in using the same tab.
However, it is displayed if I close the window and open a new window and sign in.
Yes, I do have an adblocker in Opera (as I do with all my browsers) and would prefer to leave it turned on.

Type
google.com
in the search field there and choose "remove all shown". -

Hmm, interesting.

I went to opera://settings/handlers and deleted mail.google.com.I went to opera://settings/siteData and typed google.com in the search field but it stated 'no search results found.'
I signed into Gmail and the pop-up came up before an email was even opened.
The pop-up is only displayed when signing into Gmail after opening a new Opera window. It. is not displayed in Opera or Firefox when signing into Hotmail or Yahoo.

'mail.google.com wants to open email links: Allow or Block' in the top left corner after signing into Gmail using Opera.

The link was unhelpful.
All it states is 'Take note of the path to the profile directory (see above), then go there using your OS file explorer and rename the directory so Opera will create a new one on next start.'
Is this the link you intended to paste: https://forums.opera.com/topic/25420/how-to-create-a-clean-profile-directory?
If so, what should the 'Opera Stable' directory be renamed and does the computer need to be rebooted for the change to take effect?
