@rosek97 I'm afraid it's not possible. At least I haven't found a way.
So now you found it

@sutskn You need to remove and install the opera extension again. A little rough method but it is simple and the only one that I know of.

@sutskn,
I'm not sure you can uninstall an extension without passing this password problem of yours.
I would uninstall Opera Browser completely. However, windows often leaves behind some files that may be a problem as they might refer to this password extension.
What I do, and may be done with another software, is use the function "uninstaller" of "iobit toolbox". It a freeware, and after uninstalling Opera, it will offer to scan for remaining files and give you the choice to remove them all.
When this is done, you can easily install Opera again. -

password is visible when typing and it is a security risk. usually it should be * or a Dot.

@humbldump I've tried your extension and it looks awesome, but there is a huge bug. I see when you open Opera, it closes the main window and asks you for a passcode in a new window. If I press CTRL + N shortcut I will get my main screen. Then I'm able to close the BrowserLock screen and continue to use the browser and see all data.
Let us know when you find a solution! Thanks!

If you cancel the password query and abort the dialoge "close opera" you can use it normaly...
The passwort is visible after typing. (to the dev -> may you could use TYPE"password" instead of TYPE "text").
And you can see the actualy opened tabs in the background.
Basically a good idea, but not practically implemented.

если закрыть окно с паролем, а после окно с "вы уверены, что хотите закрыть браузер?", то браузер будет работать как обычно. дополнение бесполезно

Hello!
I've been using your extension and so far it's working really well! It's just perfectly what I was looking for and the first thing I wanna do is thank you a lot!
I see that people are complaining about some ways to bypass the password, but since I've got that "closing multiple tabs warning" turned off, I'm not having any issues and I don't see how anyone could bypass in my case.
The only 2 things I'd like to ask you, if possible: Could you make the password masked while we're typing, instead of showing it so clearly? I've been through some moments where people were looking at my screen while I was typing, so now they know my password and could easily open my browser when I'm not around. The second thing is: There's any way to put an option button on the extension where we could simply change our password?
Again, thank you so much for your great work!

@bend Hi, you can use my extension instead of "Set Password..." https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/browser-lock/

Hey @humbldump , thank you for the tip! I've tried your extension and it's pretty good indeed, but I gotta be honest with yuo and say that I prefer "Set password" because of its simplicity and speed. It's just a small window that appears quick, while in your extension, the password window takes a little bit longer to appear and load, and also closes Opera main window, having to open and load it again once the password is typed...
Please, don't take this as a bad review, you've done a great job! I'm just explaining why I'd prefer using Set password extension...
