@weirdosun
I'd rather say that it ignores it whatsoever !
If you read previous messages, you'll see that since latest opera updates, it plugin doesn't work anymore. -

@eswaryaga
Hi, I just tried but it still doesn't work.
If we ignore the password popup we can use Opera (Version :74.0.3911.232).

RE: Set password for your browser ( Opera lock )Opera add-ons
I opened this question, and since nothing seemed to have improved...
I suggest that to remove this extension from the Opera plugin list as it clearly doesn't fulfill its function ! -
RE: Set password for your browser ( Opera lock )Opera add-ons
Which makes me write this message ...
In opera plugin list, there's another locker which works fine.
Though it is much heavier than this one and if your pc isn't fast, you'll have to wait for the browser to open...I didn't want to change, but as long as this issue is not solved, as per the * in place of characters, i'll go with the other one.

@sutskn,
I'm not sure you can uninstall an extension without passing this password problem of yours.
I would uninstall Opera Browser completely. However, windows often leaves behind some files that may be a problem as they might refer to this password extension.
What I do, and may be done with another software, is use the function "uninstaller" of "iobit toolbox". It a freeware, and after uninstalling Opera, it will offer to scan for remaining files and give you the choice to remove them all.
When this is done, you can easily install Opera again. -
RE: Set password for your browser ( Opera lock )Opera add-ons
@rexneb I tried it this morning, I have portable opera version 66.0.3515.72, with opera lock version 5 extension. 1, 2, 3 tabs don't change anything, when I hit cancel, everything is shut down.
So far, appart from the ***** password issue, I didn't find how to go around this extension. -
