How Do I Get Advanced Features Back in Opera 22?

You really dont know. I see youre new to Opera. Just to let you know, Opera years ago had very good advanced features that you can tinker with through its 'Preferences'. Unfortunately, starting 2 or 3 years ago Opera started to change the browser to Chrome and in the process, it removed cool features. Most likely, the company is doing this for some future speculation from a sale to a prospective company willing to pay millions for it. INothing is sacred anymore.
For example, they removed the built-in mail which was the most convenient way to check mail on ANY browser. Opera used to be the best browser in the world until these stupid greedy changes occured. I wish the mail feature would come back.Uhmm... no, I'm hardly "new to Opera", nor to the forums. But the last Presto Opera version with meaningful changes was 12.14, released only about 18 months ago. A couple of security updates have been issued since, bringing the Presto version to 12.17 around 12 months ago. The first Blink Opera version (15, with greatly altered features) didn't emerge until a year ago. Your time description is exaggerated, for if it were accurate, it implies features "stripped out of Opera years ago" would have had to be stripped out of the last multiple Presto versions as well - which is simply not true. You may not care for the changes implemented in the Blink browser versions, but exaggeration and accusations help nobody and instead undercut the credibility of what else you have to say.
Moreover, to argue that Opera has made "greedy" changes is to utterly ignore the reality that the browser has been free for many years... and it remains so. You may use the browser, but it's Opera's design to do with as they wish. You may be frustrated as, indeed, some users are... but please remain rational.Ok so if you say youre not new to Opera, why did you ask before if Opera advanced features were stripped away when they were? I dont get it. And then you asked which features were stripped awaw. Anyone not new to Opera would know this. I personally think youre new to Opera.

Blink wasn't even on the horizon, since Blink Opera desktop development didn't occur until well after the start of the timeframe you claimed. Your time description clearly "doesn't wash"...and I challenged your exaggeration. In reality, if you've been lurking in this forum and its MyOpera predecessor for any length time, you would have known all that... as you would also know that I've been active in one or the other Opera forums for years.

Yeah, and it's a shame the much newer and improved engine that allows Opera to continue to exist (and grow in the future) gets ignored over the tiresome features argument, fuelled by a small percentage of the small percentage who used the old Opera browser.
Yeah, like I said, trolls and friends of trolls are invading the forum again.

That said by xxlook, a relative newbie who just joined the forum some few months ago. What a joke!

Actually, xxlook, I prefer Opera 22, and I did use Opera 12.17 for years. I mean, it's all of question of taste. What I took issue with in your earlier post, was the language, "stupid, greedy changes," in reference to Opera as it seemed highly inappropriate, and offensive. You know, it was language lacking in common sense, and good taste. Opera was a "dream" browser for you, and for some others. But don't generalize it to everyone.
And thats cool. If you prefer the new browser compared to the old one that had better and more features, then thats your right. I can care less about what you think of my opinion. As far I'm concerned, the words echoes what many think of Opera and were not offensive at all. They were offensive only to YOU. If they were "highly offensive and inappopriate" to YOU then I suggest you throw away your PC and TV and close yourself off to the rest of the world since there are even harsher words out there that will give you a heart attack. Words like "screwy, hate, and idiotic" may give you a heart attack so we wouldnt want that. You know, you need to be a real man in todays world since guys less than that dont last long.

Yeah, based on your initial question, I got to think otherwise. No offense.

Fair enough. No offense taken.

Oh excuse me, people who love Presto are "real men," as are, apparently people, like you, who are abusive, vile, and uncivil." Wow, you're doing a real disservice to Presto with that. Why don't you tell us some more about what you think real men are, and give the rest of us a chance to resign from the human (inhuman) race?

You've been appropriately reported for what you are: a troll. Now go away before you're banned.
