@kxsumi You can post in the Suggestions and Feature Request section, but since ALT is a common key to open menus on Windows, I don't know if it can be changed.

@leocg The only thing I want to request os for this to be editable or it to not affect games on the browser. Lime it disables while in game.

OK, the ALT key is commonly used to open menus on Windows. However, Opera is supposed to be a cross-platform browser. I am on the verge of switching back to Firefox or Chrome just because of this annoying "shortcut".

@leocg You keep telling us that removing the Alt functionality is not possible. Why is it not possible for a dev to remove this, given that many users struggle with it and not many make use of it?

@Geo19 Only a developer can answer if it's possible or not to do it, however I think that changing something that works in a way for decades usually isn't the best thing to do.

@saphirealba If you read the answers that were already posted before your question, you wouldnt need to ask again: its not possible with the way Opera is coded (though I also would like to be able to change it).

Just use Autohotkey, and remap it to anything. If you need help, write to me 🙂

@Monolise thats quite the idea. You could even use a window handler to only apply the remape to Opera.
