You can't because Max server IP will be forwarded anyway.Opera VPN disable option is at hand, btw.

There is any way to set an app to bypass Opera Max?
Only the dev would be able to change that. (Apps that work via a secure connection [a.k.a. HTTPS] will bypass Max for example.) -

A (sub)product called 'Horizon' may have something to do with Max layer disruption and what a heck, it's even in gallery for media streaming (Max doesn't deploy the player from gallery but with Horizon mirific toolbar on-board it does). Oh, I forgot to mention that Horizon send data without my knowledge (spy program) even if is not allowed and Max doesn't work as before even after H-bar dezinstallation. You know, the virus scan thing now come with 'Dear Cosmote (my operator) user...' messagge via Android browser or Opera Mini which is wanderful. I must take this opportunity to thank Opera staff again for this kind of innovations that work like they do to enhance 'safety' and user experience.

ESPN page from Horizon bar resolve streaming media as 'rtsp/f' url (or such) when Max is enabled. No problem with ICS stock browser via Max. Just sayn that it's a criss-cross thing.
