Sync not working

  • @leocg I do not get any error messages. I do not have ANY information (which is what I keep trying to get) on how to interpret sync-internals so that I CAN be equipped to interpret. Since I have no tech guidelines, no error code chart, etc. Please tell me how I am to proceed?

    You're not syncing, buddy. I have already reviewed the entire configuration on all my devices. I use it on my pc-house, pc-work and smartphone and is not synchronizing the passwords on the smartphone and is not synchronizing the bookmarks between all three devices. The bookmark I record on pc-work is not showing up on pc-house, and vice versa.
    I'm also like the colleague above, analyzing alternative browsers. I already used bookmark synchronization in Chrome which works fine, just not so well syncing passwords. But my main need is the markers. So if I can not make this Opera sync work, I'll have to change my browser.

    Sorry, but I understood that you meant the synchronization of colleague dylanobrien and not yours because your answer was tied to his questioning. If your sync is working well, congratulations to you. Unfortunately for us, it is not.

  • So bottom line, it does NOT work for many users, and Opera will not do anything about it. Makes we wonder how solid the browser is if they can't even work out this problem, nor support users with the problem.

  • Moderator, can't you get anyone at Opera to address this problem? It doesn't matter if some people have no problem with it. What matters is that some users do have problems with it, which points to bugs that need to be fixed. What good does it do to tell others that it works for you?

    Try to Rename you current profile, and depending on, just Sync or add some custom Bookmarks and then try the Sync service.

    Follow the Backup/Reset at signature to know the "How to".

    Because the info provided, it seems you know the difference between Bookmarks and SpeedDial and you did the Sync before on different computers, right?
