cursor color in text fields is white against a typically white background

hey all, i did some quick searches and didn't happen upon what i was looking for. no real complaints with the opera browser, only that since the last several months, the cursor color when i hover over a text field is white. this is a problem as the background color is also white. in chrome the text cursor is black as it should be. how do i solve this issue? thanks.

as a side note gripe, seriously Opera, a twelve character password to have an account on the forums?!?! please, this is a much lower level security need. by bank account has fewer characters needed for the password.
