Has Opera Destroyed Their Own Brilliant Creation....??

Why did you close my discussion.
This was a message to the developers and was valid to point out the key areas. That two years down the line they have still not included with successive releases, it should not take that long to reinstate the sync feature as mentioned, other browsers adopted this feature after opera having it for some time, now opera does not have this at all.
In reply to one if the posters on that thread, I have updated as each release came out but found less and less reasons to use it as I needed to.
Yes speed has improved but you will find like any add on or extension you install that they will SLOW your browser down. I did not have to install anything that was not already there.
I haven't used Opera in 8 months because it seems they turned off the sync feature in. V12.16 and so I do not have easy access to my bookmarks and speed dials that are for work purposes when I switch to other devices and computers. I have around 25-50 speed dials that I needed quick access to as they changed regularly it has messed up how I work hence why I have had to go elsewhere.
Sorry but I have to use other browsers to carry on working the way I need it to. I hope they look at reinstating those measures that people came to opera in the first place.

The things you posted about were already discussed dozens of times, and that yet another topic too. Search before posting, join the threads already existent talking about each issue in particular.
It's exhausting for everyone to keep repeating what has been said already, while also dealing with known people that join the topic because of the flame-bait title to bash Opera at trolling levels. This was a message to the developers and was valid to point out the key areas.
The post wasn't deleted so they can still read it.it should not take that long to reinstate the sync feature as mentioned, other browsers adopted this feature after opera having it for some time, now opera does not have this at all.
It takes... Otherwise we would have it already...
There's an experimental/beta sync working in the new Chromium-based Opera, did you look it up?Bear in mind that the first Opera Presto alpha build with Opera Link has been released on September 4, 2007, the final version came in June 12, 2008. That's 9+ months for a single feature. That's about the same time it took for them to release 15 with UI made from scratch and implement many different things up until 20.
I have around 25-50 speed dials that I needed quick access to as they changed regularly it has messed up how I work hence why I have had to go elsewhere.
I don't get it, how do they "change regularly"? Only yourself can add and remove items... -

Up to 50 Speed Dials in the Opera Presto. With Opera 21, you could organize each speed dial position into a folder (by dragging one link-thumbnail on top of another), and have it much better organized and with the links easier to access/find. You would be able to have a lot more in the Speed Dial in a lot less space.
It's possible an add-on or extension can slow the browser. I have 13 active ones now, and the browser is still quite fast. You can easily deactivate or uninstall an extension/add-on, so it's relatively easy to diagnose a significant speed slow-down (if there is one), and find the culprit.
If you were using Opera 12.16, did you try installing Opera 21? You can activate the bookmarks bar in Opera 21 (Alt P), and then put a check in the Show the Bookmarks Bar (in the User Interface Section). Then go to More Tools, and Click on the Bookmark Importer.
As I mentioned in your post that goes by the same name
https://forums.opera.com/topic/3041/has-opera-destroyed-their-own-brilliant-creation/6the philosophy is different now in Opera 21. Added features and customization generally comes through extensions. As for the sync feature, I think it will be great when Opera has that working.
Best of luck, sir.

Opera Link is still working fine for me on 12.17.
They certainly haven't "turned it off".
