I use linux xubuntu 18.10 and the official Linux ExpressVPN linux app. Without VPN I can connect to the internet with every browser. When I disconnect from the VPN Opera loses its connection with internet (no internet, DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NO_INTERNET null) . With Chrome and Firefox I can browse the internet with or without VPN.

Everything I tried, with Opera i can't get access to the internet when the VPN is up and running.

Anyone any idea how to solve this???

@jimunderscorep : Nope. Opera turbo and Opera VPN are not in use.

@iskanderthe5th I just found out this (no internet) also happened with less-known browsers such as falkon, Colibri and Brave. So it seems to a linux-expressvpn issue instead of a opera-issue... Maybe chrome and firefox use there own DNS's ?

@iskanderthe5th It looks i have solved the problem. Since i discovered it's not a opera related issue i looked at the network manager of my distro. I disabled expressvpn's app and installed ExpressVPN manual via a .ovpn file and connected this vpn to my default wired interface to open at start. Now i can connect to internet via Opera.
